We were very happy with Gilded Tomato’s catering for our July 2021 wedding. The owner, Julia, is passionate about her craft, very detail-oriented and communicative. Having originally scheduled our wedding for July 2020 and then postponing for a year due to the pandemic, Julia was able to work with us despite all of the uncertainty surrounding event planning and restrictions. The food served—wood-fired pizza from their beautiful oven, hummus dishes, salads and focaccia—was fantastic and our guests loved it! We are very happy that we hired Gilded Tomato and wouldn’t hesitate recommending them to anybody.

They create a colorful display of salads, pizza and wide variety of appetizers! I definitely would suggest for your next event whether it is a wedding or back yard gathering. Gilded Tomato is a special catering experience with a beautiful unique wood fire oven that will travel to you. Julia’s culinary team is top notch with attention to detail to make everything look perfect. She will create a beautiful salad with fresh local ingredients including edible flowers. The chicken wings are amazing with a touch of fresh honey from Julia’s farm. The pizzas are the best I’ve ever tasted with toppings of lobster, bacon, pepperoni, fresh wood fired roasted vegetables, and homemade fig jam. My favorite is the veggie pizza. It’s quite an experience to watch the Gilded Tomato team make the pizzas right in front of you and cook them in the wood fired oven. Julia’s staff is professional and accommodating. The finishing touch is the delectable dessert pizza. Too many favorites to pick just one. Julia explained that the pizza cooks at a very high temperature, but she needs to let the oven cool down a bit to cook the dessert pizza.
